Full Itinerary

Day 1: Las Vegas > Zion National Park
Leaving the bright lights of Vegas behind, drive northeast for just over three hours into the State of Utah and Zion National Park. Zion Canyon was named by the early Mormon settlers of Utah who thought of it as their 'promised land'. Some of the best hiking in this desert terrain of southwest USA can be found here in and around the fertile Virgin River as it meanders below massive, cathedral-like, sandstone walls. With two nights here we will have plenty of time to explore.

Day 2: Zion National Park trails
It's easy to spend a day exploring what Zion has to offer. There are plenty of hiking options to choose from, ranging from easy to strenuous. The ambitious walker can choose to ascend 760 metres (2500 feet) to experience unbeatable panoramic views from the top of Angels Landing or you may choose to hike deep into the beautiful Zion Narrows.

Day 3: Bryce Canyon National Park
Not far from Zion is Bryce Canyon National Park and it's definitely worth a visit! Bryce Canyon is a fascinating natural amphitheatre of pink, orange and white sandstone spires, known locally as 'hoodoos'.

Day 4: Monument Valley
No visit to Southwest USA can be complete without a visit to Monument Valley. Sacred land to the Navajo who call it home, the red sandstone monoliths and spectacular sunsets and sunrises have been the backdrop to countless 'westerns' featuring cowboys riding off into the desert and offer a real taste of cowboy country!

Day 5: Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon is on everyone's must do list; this incredible spectacle is difficult to comprehend, even as you stand at the rim or hike down into the canyon. Carved over several millennia, this massive wonder of nature is 445 kilometres (277 miles) long, up to 29 kilometres (18 miles) wide and over 1.6 kilometres (1 mile) deep. We recommend you head to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, an easily accessible and beautiful part of the canyon.

Day 6: Grand Canyon National Park
There are so many options at the Grand Canyon it's worth spending a day here. You can venture down the Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point, or just stroll along the more leisurely West Rim Trail. There is also a great shuttle bus service that allows you to access different areas of the park.

Day 7: Hoover Dam > Las Vegas
Travel south to Williams and west to the small roadside town of Seligman along the iconic Route 66. before continuing to see the Hoover Dam before driving back into Las Vegas.

Remember, this is just a suggested itinerary.
